Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Members Discuss U.S. Regulatory Updates, DE&I
Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Members participated on three panels at the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers’ (ABIR) 16th Annual International Insurance Regulatory Dialogue in Brussels.
On her panel, Massachusetts Division of Insurance First Deputy Commissioner Rachel Davison discussed recent regulatory updates in the United States, including changes to the group capital calculation and supervisors' efforts on the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ's Climate and Resiliency (EX) Task Force. On his panel, Nebraska Department of Insurance Director Eric Dunning highlighted the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ's ongoing work on cross-border reinsurance.
During the lunch session, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ President and Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance Director Chlora Lindley-Myers discussed her views on diversity, equity, and inclusion at the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ and the Missouri Department, as well as in the insurance industry more broadly.

As part of our state-based system of insurance regulation in the United States, the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ (Ï㽶ÊÓƵ) provides expertise, data, and analysis for insurance commissioners to effectively regulate the industry and protect consumers. The U.S. standard-setting organization is governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. Through the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, state insurance regulators establish standards and best practices, conduct peer reviews, and coordinate regulatory oversight. Ï㽶ÊÓƵ staff supports these efforts and represents the collective views of state regulators domestically and internationally.
